Some great ways to be active is integrating either moderate or vigorous activity into your everyday life. Some great ways to be active include walking, cycling, swimming, joining a sports league, and/or setting a time to visit a gym. Depending on how much time you have in your day you can devote it to moderate or vigorous physical activity. The challenge is being able to integrate it with your work schedule and time for leisure.

You can maintain an active lifestyle by being organized with your time. Any leisure time you have in your work day can be set aside to involve some kind of physical activity. If your work schedule does not permit this, you can work in exercise in your daily commute. You can walk or cycle to work. You can also walk on a lunch break if you don't spend too much time eating. This can easily add up to 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate activity a week.

You can find a balance between all of the things you are supposed to do to stay healthy by setting up an organized schedule. If you set a concrete schedule for yourself you can not lose time that can be spent on physical activity. I don't think physical exercise and eating right can be done without setting specific goals. I tend to walk to work, but I do not set aside time for muscle strengthening activity. It's easy to say you will start exercising, but without setting up a schedule, it doesn't become a habit. I believe regular exercise can become a habit if you set specific and organized goals for yourself.
