Question #1
I stopped using social media a few years ago because I could not handle the shaming from other women and the internal stress I felt due to my inferior looks. My insecurities are so intense that I can’t bear to compare myself to my peers. I also struggle with fear of judgement. So I decided to just remove myself from the whole situation. When I was still on social media, people, especially girls, would be like one another’s posts online then immediately make fun of the girl’s post in their cliches. I fully believe that social media is unhealthy and it was a great idea to remove it from my life.

Question #2
I used social media as a social justice tool in late high school and early college. It allows students to come together and interact on an issue on which they are passionate. Social media allows groups to form and grow and act.

Question #3
People my age use dating apps as one of their main ways to find a relationship or “hook up.” But, I used a dating app for just a few weeks and actually met my partner, Stephen. We’ve been together for five years now and it’s crazy to think that I met another “nice person” on a dating app. Tinder and other dating apps are perceived to be mostly for casual “hook ups.” However, this is truly abnormal.
Also, I adore Taylor Swift and there is a hardcore “Swiftie” fanbase on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. Meeting and chatting with other Swifties online is wonderful.
