Question #1. Are social media sites just opportunities for people to become, as Ronson says, “Unpaid shaming interns?”

Social media sites were originally intended to be a way for people to connect with each other. Myspace was an early version. They were modes to have fun and spread information or news. However, as society has changed so have these social media sites. People have taken Facebook, Instagram,and twitter and used them to spread negativity. Not everyone uses social media for that purpose. It still is a great way to keep up with current events or friends' lives.
