It is my belief that online gaming is so popular because technology has made so many advancements over the past few years and there is literally a game for any type of interest or hobby a person has. In particular online gaming has become more popular for students at the elementary level, as well as adults (even though adults have probably been participating in online gaming for much longer than their counterparts). One major drawback to being engaged in these activities is the lack of exercise and fresh air because people are so focused on playing video games indoors, that they barely go out and play or exercise. Another drawback for being engaged with online gaming is the possibility that the games are too violent, which could then have a person react to certain real-life situations violently or aggressively. I do think that there are some online games that offer opportunities for learning, such as Minecraft, while other online games are simply passive pastimes, such as Fortnite.

I typically manage my study schedule with napping or reading for enjoyment when I’m faced with doubt about my capacity to engage, learn, and succeed. If I’m at work and I’m feeling doubtful, I would usually try to do a monotonous task (such as filing scored exams or organizing a list of some sort). When I’m home, I typically either take a nap, read, or listen to music because all of these activities help me relax and take my mind off of my doubts; plus doing one of these three activities can inspire new ideas that relieve my doubts.

Typically to remember new things, I have to read it twice, write it down with a pen and a piece of paper, then try to implement it into my life in some way. I also discuss this new idea or thing with my friends because then I’ll have to explain it to them. Sometimes I also try to visualize what this new thing looks like in my life so I can see how I may go about implementing it.
