Question #1. What global issues and crises (e.g., global warming, mass migration) can challenge an individual’s values and ethics? What forums can an individual use to help better understand how to think, feel, and act?
Interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships shape our consciousness and enable us to observe the world in a more humanistic and less materialistic way. When one takes a step back as Dada Gunamuktananda says to do, and rethinks their tiny place on our tiny planet in our tiny Universe, our lives become so small and our consciousness becomes the focus. Our minds are our biggest weapons against interpersonal, intrapersonal, and global issues.

Question #2. What gives you a sense of meaning and purpose in your life? Share what you can about what keeps you focussed on achieving.
My sense of meaning comes from the pure joy of the children with whom I interact daily. When they run up to me with hugs because they missed me over the weekend, my heart melts, and I feel like my life and hard work really have a purpose. I also feel a lot of meaning and purpose in my personal relationships which are very fulfilling at the moment!

Question #3. What can challenge your sense of connectedness to others or purposes? How do you protect yourself from doubt?
I isolate myself from others when I feel like I am a bother. I am a loner and don’t mind spending multiple days alone in my apartment not speaking to anyone. But that feeds my unhealthy internal dialogue, which is the main cause for my self-doubt and lack of confidence. Despite my fulfilment from my job and family life, I often feel not good enough and that I will never be good enough, especially as a teacher. I am working on those issues now though and I am trying to make more friends and reach out to those friends more.
