  1. There are many global issues that can challenge individual’s values and ethics. We are currently in the midst of one pandemic crisis, the coronavirus, that has uprooted everyone’s lives and challenged ethics and morals across the globe. During this time, people can turn inwards, focusing on their own consciousness and attitude and the things that they themselves are able to control. Yoga, meditation, journaling, and reflection are all good practices to help people better understand their own consciousness. I also think that finding routine and developing routine during uncertain time can help one realize how they act and feel and think every day.
  2. Volunteering, going to church each Sunday, and giving back to my community give me a sense of meaning and purpose in my life. I also enjoying teaching and inspiring my own students to give back to their community. When I see them showing kindness, giving back, and brightening the world around them it makes me feel like I have helped them and this also gives me purpose in my own job!
  3. Conflict and everyone’s individual personal interests and goals can often challenge my sense of connectedness to others or purposes. To protect myself from doubt, I always try to maintain a positive perspective on other people and be a positive light around others. I try not to let what others are doing interfere with this positivity, particularly during challenging times or times of my own self-doubt.
