Question #1. There are a multitude of ways to be active. One way is by muscle-strengthening and balance training in a gym. Another way is through playing physically active games, ball games, and racket games. Other ways include running, walking, swimming, cycling, dancing, doing yoga, hiking, rock climbing, participating in an exercise class, etc.

Question #2. The way I maintain an active lifestyle when I have so many other demands on my time is by walking as much as possible. According to the UKK Institute, normal everyday activities require about 5,000 steps. As my physical activity record shows, I generally walk more than 5,000 steps a day. Yet, I do not always walk 9,000 steps a day, which is noted as the recommended daily activity, and I only sometimes reach the optimal activity level of 13,000 steps a day.

Question #3. Honestly, I have not really found a balance between all of the things that I am supposed to do to stay healthy. My top priorities right now are doing well in my classes and being an effective teacher. As a result, I have a tendency to ignore my health due to the quantity of my workload and my lack of time and energy. However, even before starting graduate school, my physical health has never truly been a focus of mine.
