Q1: Some great ways to be active include yard work, walking, and running.
Q2: Being active doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym for a workout. I go to the gym on weekends, but during the week this is not possible. I work in a school 5 days a week, go to class 3 nights a week and work at my assistantship one night a week. This leaves one night during the week for me to "workout". On this day, I like to relax and do homework. Like working out, taking time to relax is very important for your health. During my lunch break at work, I like to take walks to stay active. I also do sit-ups during commercial breaks when watching TV.
Q3: I have a very hard time balancing everything on my plate. I prioritize and sadly do not put my health first. My schoolwork will always come first until I get my degree. When I do put myself first, it is mental health. I rarely ever miss class or school and if I do it's most likely because I am mentally overwhelmed and need time to reboot myself. If I am physically sick, I will still come to class. I write down things I have to get done and cross them off when they are done. My health is rarely on my mind l lately. Most days I forget to eat. School and work are too demanding for me to worry about myself, which is not okay. I remind myself that I am almost done and it will get better eventually.
