Question #1. I have been in many situations where my perception has been affected by possible low brain function caused by stress. During these situations I felt anxious and jittery. My heartbeat quickened, my muscles tensed, and I clenched my teeth. To destress in these instances, I have taken steps such as intentionally slowing my breathing and progressively relaxing my muscles.

Question #2. At times it has been difficult for me to overcome negative thoughts or pessimism. However, I have found it helpful to prioritize and to take action(s). Also, I usually benefit from talking to others.

Question #3. By practicing mindfulness and meditation, I can be more present and intentional in my everyday decision making and activities. Additionally, ensuring that I receive an adequate amount of sleep on a regular basis would be extremely advantageous to me.
