Question 1: Online gaming is popular because of ease of access and ability. Anyone can get online to game and pretty much anyone can understand the rules. Even if they don't, there are resources available at the ready on Youtube to be able to understand how to play. In contrast, some other activities require materials or resources that not everyone has in their homes. And I do think that online gaming offers learning opportunities – it obviously depends on the game you choose, but I think there are many games that can challenge your brain and expand your thinking. I think crosswords are an excellent way to keep your mind sharp!

Question 2: When I feel like I cannot engage or succeed a task, I often put it off, which only makes the task all the more challenging later on! I think I learned in college that sometimes there is only so much that can be done in one sitting, and I need to make time for brain breaks. When I balance my schedule with things I enjoy, like time with my son or drawing/painting or listening to music, I feel more inclined to take the time to get to work when I need to, rather than cramming everything into one sitting. I also think this is my best work, when I can leave it and return to it with fresh eyes.

Question 3: To remember new things, I talk about them, a lot! I love sharing with my coteacher or my husband or my sister anything that I have learned that is valuable or interesting, and those are often the things I remember best! If it is very specific to a class, I find handwritten notes to be my go-to method for tracking my learning, and I keep all my notebooks really organized, and save them all even when they are finished, so that I have access to everything important from all my coursework.
