Online gaming is very popular with children of all ages. It can be used as a vehicle (or tool) to help motivate children to learn. Certain games require strategy and problem-solving skills, while others can develop their ability to multi-task. Game-based learning can provide additional support for students, who struggle with math and science. However, parents should know what games their children are playing; monitor the websites they are visiting; and set time limits for gaming. They should also be aware of cyberbullies; internet predators; and block games with inappropriate content.
